Communications Strategy:
City of Corinth, TX
The City of Corinth is a steadily growing community. Noticing the changes around them, the City organization wanted to harbor the growth to appeal to a more diverse population, including younger families. Additionally, there was a need to market the community to bring in new retail establishments, restaurants, and build new community gathering spaces. This created a tricky balance of attracting new residents and businesses while celebrating and maintaining the community and history that long-time residents held close. To create a communications strategy, Corinth needed a full audit of its existing communications tools to form a foundation for communications to grow.
The Slate team worked alongside Corinth to grow their communications department and refine their tactics, providing a foundational communications strategy. Two years later, Slate added to this plan with a second-phased strategy to further bolster community engagement. Communications Plan 2.0 was all about maximizing the existing tools and refining strategies to reach new audiences. Along with a comprehensive communications strategy, we helped bolster the City’s economic development efforts and solidify a new brand the community and local officials could be proud of.
