Commerce City, a rapidly expanding community near Denver, is known for its vibrant neighborhoods, parks, and recreational amenities. As the city grows, the Parks & Recreation team sought a brand refresh to better reflect the city’s innovative culture, mission, and high-quality services. The goal? To amplify community awareness, strengthen relationships, and project a future-focused identity that aligns with the department's expanding offerings.
With this goal and mind, Slate worked closely with the Parks & Recreation team to create a brand that would reflect the department's responsibilities and bigger aspirations. Using a condensed timeline, we applied our EPIC process to craft a brand that’s active, timeless, and memorable. By blending research, community input, and creativity, we delivered an inclusive design embraced by staff and residents alike. The new identity has boosted pride, awareness, and the department’s reputation, embodying its commitment to excellence and growth.
