The team needed a way to communicate with residents about the opportunities available, how to take full advantage of the programming, and keep the community engaged and informed on capital projects, construction, and events. Enter the Valdez Compass.
Slate worked with the Valdez Parks and Recreation Department to develop the Valdez Compass as more than just a parks and recreation guide. Creating a new brand, magazine name, design, and curating content, the Valdez Compass includes feature stories, resources, maps, and updated information on programs and facility updates. Even better, Slate worked with Valdez to connect to the Department’s database, exporting program information directly to the publication, saving staff time to focus on what really matters: providing high-quality services to their residents and community members.
